PROGRAMME FOR LORD-LIEUTENANT’S VISIT TO SWISS GARDEN ON 15 JANUARY 2025

The dedication of the Diana statue

The Lord-Lieutenant is due to arrive at 2.30.

​

2.30  FOSG members and garden volunteers and stewards arrive and congregate in the Garden Room.

​

2.45 All move to the main pathway by the Diana Island.

​

2.50 The audience stays by the main pathway whilst the Lord-Lieutenant, Keith and Tony move onto the Island. Keith gives a short introduction and the Lord-Lieutenant makes a short speech dedicating the statue. Photographs are then taken.

​

3.00 (approx.) After the Lord-Lieutenant, Keith and Tony have moved off the Island to view the Indian Horse Chestnut tree planted in February 2024, the audience will have an opportunity to go onto the Island to see the statue and its plaque close up. They will then return to the Garden Room.

​

3.10 (approx.) Refreshments served in the Garden Room.

​

4.00 or earlier (approx.) Lord-Lieutenant leaves.
